What really happens in there?

So Dylf's post about the karaoke bar sparked a comment by Jaderberri regarding an interesting situation about being cornered in a bathroom by 3 lesbians... this is what has promted my post today.

Recently i had a few too many shots of jager and ended up in a debate between friends about how bitchy girls can be these days. I am sometimes guilty of being a bitch myself. I think most girls are given condusive situations - but hey if i'm wrong just let me know. My face speaks my mood instantly. I don't realise until i look in the mirror how animated my face can be. I raise eyebrows, roll eyes, frown, smile - whatever, and when i look in the mirror i wonder whether i do that to people's faces when i am talking to them. The answer is probably yes. Yeah i'm getting back to how i'm relating this to the previous posts...

So during my discussion on bitchy girls, i wanted to make the point that there is still one place in the world where i think girls are pretty nice to eachother - that's public bathrooms. I suppose i am talking about entertainment type venues where alcohol is served - clubs, pubs, concerts, that kind of thing. Maybe this could also just be an Aussie thing - but i hope it's not.

In bathrooms girls come together. There is no doubt a line. This is where you often strike up a random conversation with a random girl about clothing, hair style or drink choice. If someone is in need of a hair pin, lip gloss, perume, tissue or money for the condom machine girls you have never met before come to the rescue and help you out. They compliment on your outfit or boyfriend. They let you cut in line if it's clear you cannot wait the extra couple of minutes. You can carry on conversations throughout the line, into the cubicles and then at the sink, without pausing once.

Don't get this confused with why girls go to the bathroom in pairs or groups - in my experience this is most likely taking place because there is something to discuss that can't be done in front of others. Although it is handy in bathrooms that aren't up to scratch to have a friend to hold a door with a broken lock or pass through TP if a particular stall has run out.

I think the biggest factor in why girls are nicest in bathrooms is the obvious - there are no guys around!! For whatever reason girls behave differently when guys are not around. There is just general silliness and complimenting eachother.

One exception i do find to this rule is the underagers. In Australia underage means younger than 18, and these chicks can't hold alcohol well. They tend to use the bathrooms for crying, yelling at eachother, peeing with the door open and vomiting. I generally ignore these girls and look down on them with my best withering look i can muster, and hope they don't choose to vomit on me.

The mens room is like no other room in the world. You walk in, and people greet you. They thank you for sharing the evening with them, no matter how small the role. Often there is a basket of money by the sink, where if a guy is down on his luck he can help himself to money to go get a stiff drink, or buy himself something to eat.

And when you are finished there is always the three seashells waiting for you.

It really is a mystical place isn't it gentlemen?

Sorry, Ozi. I don't buy it. It's lesbianism that goes on in there - nothing else. Literally nothing else.

Good cover and everything, though. It's just that I'm too intelligent, that's all.

Nice try.

Everyone does that facial expression. It's not within most humans' control to override it,.

Boys, Boys, Boys... i hate to break it to you, but when most girls see eachother wearing little or no clothing we aren't thinking the same thing that you when seeing the same thing... There probably is a bit of skin showing in the bathroom sometimes, not any more than when girls get ready to go out somewhere together, but it just doesn't affect us like it would you...

LoL - you guys don't have condom machines in your bathrooms?!

Anonymous said...

We do, but I've never had anyone offer to buy one for me.

I see - so if you saw a guy in the bathroom banging on the condom machine with that look in his eye like not having $1 was going to possibly ruin his night with the drunk girl outside, you wouldn't flick him $1??

I wouldn't. Dude might be crazy.

Condom?

And yes... Can a girl say she boned in a bathroom? Don't guys bone? Girls don't bone things... Do they?

The lezbians in the bathroom were not nice, they were big and scary. I felt like they wanted to hurt me.
Also, sometimes girls are thinking the same thing guys are thinking. Me and a good friend share a bday and we went to the bar for it. We were having a real friendly chat with this girl in the bathroom about some guy she was considering going home with just so she could get a ride out of there; we were giving her advice. Eventually I exit the bathroom. 5 minutes later my friend comes out all excited, because somehow in that 5 minutes the conversation got REAL friendly and they made out with each other... my friend is married and I didn't know she went that way. And there weren't even any guys to watch.
