I was into this show to begin with because it had an incredibly cool concept. Since it premiered in September, I've gone hot and cold with it. I was mostly cold when they went into their "mid-season break" (which lasted 4 months) as I felt it had turned into a soap-opera with a sci-fi twist. It's like they couldn't decide what type of show they wanted to do and we're just buying time. Cancellation seemed pretty certain.
But I'll admit that since it came back, I've been more impressed with it than I had been previously. Really, the only thing, in my mind, that had to be explained (eventually, I'm a patient man, that's why I love "Lost".) was why people had conflicting Flash Forwards. (I'm talking about an explanation that goes beyond the writers' realization that they'd written themselves into a huge hole and needed to dig themselves out with a loophole.)
Then I watched last week's episode...
Dimitri: "Every time she stirred sugar into her coffee, a leak left this office... Mark... SHE DOESN'T TAKE SUGAR IN HER COFFEE..."
Mark: "... my God..."
Are they fucking serious? ARE THEY FUCKING SERIOUS. This show has a death wish, pure and simple, and I can only assume that, knowing their days are numbered, they have embarked on a quest to scorch the Earth.
And Janice is the leak? Fucking JANICE, who had MULTIPLE GUNFIGHTS WITH MEMBERS OF HER OWN ORGANIZATION WHO SHOT HER IN THE STOMACH AND LEFT HER FOR DEAD, before she TURNED SUSPICION TOWARD HER OWN MOLE INSIDE THE CIA, is the mole? Sure, that makes sense.
Fuck this show. I'm never watching this stupid shit again. If they're going to except us to jump over plotholes the size of a small quary, they should at least have the coutesy to make the show animated.
P.c.P would like to wish FlashForward the best of luck in it's future endeavors.
If you have not experienced this show and wish to do so, you will soon be able to find it in the $10 bin at your local car wash.
Before I sign off, congratulations to The Prince, who, like Dylf, has chosen to move onto greener pastures. I've gone across 2 companies over 3 years with this guy. It's not like I'll never see him or anything, but I won't be working with him either, which was an extreme pleasure. I'll miss you Prince, and you are the man! Congratulations!
