Holiday Time

I know you guys in the Northern Hemisphere are enjoying the sunshine at the moment, but here in my home town it's getting pretty chilly. Well it doesn't get as chilly as you guys, it doesn't snow here, but the average temp at the moment is about 8 degrees celsius. Rewind 6 months and anticipating this time of year would be painful, myself, my husband, 4 friends + 1 baby smartly booked a trip to the tropics for 2 weeks.

Last year for our honeymoon we were joined by 6 friends for 4 weeks in the US. This was the first time i really learnt about group travel. It can sometimes be a nightmare, and sometimes be fantastic fun. This time we get to travel with 4 different friends and our god-daughter who we are totally besotted with. We are flying off Friday morning leaving home at 4am and heading to Darwin which is just about as north as you can get in Australia. We'll be conveniently staying at my parents house (they are in Europe).

This trip i'm looking forward to temps in the mid 30's, playing in the pool, watching the sunsets on the beach and feeding crocodiles on the river. After all... it will be back to icy winter temps all too soon! Talk to you all in a few weeks...
